My Story

The Power of a Strong Therapeutic Connection
Finding the right therapist is an important step toward meaningful change. Here’s a little about me to help you decide if we’re a good fit.

I began my career in 1995 as a teacher, supporting learners of all ages. Over time, my passion for mental health and personal growth led me to transition into counselling, and in 2001 I became a Registered Psychologist. In 2015, I was honored with the Murray Jumpolsky Award for my contributions as a school counsellor—recognition that reflected my commitment to supporting individuals through challenges.

Today, my work focuses on providing comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and personalized therapy. My goal is to give clients clear insights and practical strategies to strengthen resilience, manage stress, and foster overall well-being. Above all, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered.

Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, long walks with my dog, golf, live music, reading, spending time with my family and friends, and cheering on my favorite sports teams. Life is about balance, and I love embracing the little joys that make each day meaningful.

My Approach
A Personalized Approach to Assessment and Psychological Support

No two people are alike. That’s why I tailor every psychological assessment and counselling session to your unique needs. I specialize in supporting adults facing anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief and loss, sleep difficulties, and life transitions—always with compassion and evidence-based care.

I work closely with individuals navigating major life changes or balancing the demands of high-performance roles—whether in leadership, academics, athletics, or other high-pressure environments. My approach focuses on building resilience, enhancing clarity, and supporting growth during times of change.

In addition to one-on-one counselling, I offer online individual and group programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to strengthen emotional well-being. I also provide HeartMath sessions to enhance stress regulation and balance.

My psychoeducational assessments include clear, practical recommendations to support growth in school, work, and life—supported by my background as an educator for added insight.

If this approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out—I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path to greater well-being.
